Laurie comes from an artistic family so has always been exposed to the arts and began developing her artistic style in grade school.
As an adult she fell in love with watercolors. Currently she works out of her home studio while also pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a painting concentration at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
In addition to watercolors, she also loves charcoal, mixed media such as paper and collage, acrylic and water-based oils. Her typical style is based on realism, but she also likes to experiment with different ways of creating art. Subject matter is also varied; people, animals, landscapes, still-life, architecture, etc. Recent themes have involved memory and nostalgia.
She is available for commissions.
