LINDA BICE, Painting & Textiles
Linda Bice has a genuine love and appreciation of the world around us, which comes through in her colorful paintings and textile art. She has attended workshops by several nationally known pastel and oil artists, but is mostly self-taught. Her figurative work tends to demonstrate life at it’s best, showing people enjoying themselves either alone or in groups. Her landscapes show her reverence for nature as she makes us feel like we know the place or want to be there. She can often be found around Boulder County and beyond painting en plein air (on location). Linda is a long time resident of Boulder county.
A few years ago, a friend of Linda’s introduced her to handmade wet felting. Since then she has explored wet felting, nuno felting, shibori, and silk paper making. “It’s been wonderful to get back to garment making, which was my first love as a child and teenager when I made all my own clothes, doll clothes and even a couple of wedding dresses and tailored men’s (and women’s) suits.” pARTiculars is proud to offer a nice selection of Linda’s wearable art in addition to her paintings.
