Meet Peter B. Steele, our featured artist for July. Peter is a self-taught photographer born and raised in Bedford, NY with a degree in Geology, which brought him to Boulder, Colorado 28 years ago. For the past 22 years Peter’s personal assignment has been to photograph the beauty of nature. His inspiration is the western landscape. His July show is dedicated to sharing some of those special moments and places he has experienced and documented over the years. The unique product Peter offers is called Solarography®, which are his images embedded in UV protected glass. These fine art Solarography® pieces rise and set with the sun and appear to move with the clouds. This artwork is luminous, dynamic and durable; they are designed to hang in “that window without a view.” More recently, Peter has designed a line of night lights, from his signature line of photographs.
