Scott grew up in Chicago, and was first introduced to art by his grandfather who was an avid painter and cartoonist. Initially tennis was Scott’s passion and he spent much of his childhood on the tennis court. In his spare time he focused on his art working in watercolor, acrylic, then oil paint. Scott then trained to be a science teacher but always made time to work on his art. The next years Scott moved from Chicago to Phoenix and then to the UK. This exposed him to different artists and techniques, pushing him to continually improve his own work. Now back in the US, in Colorado, he is enjoying the new landscapes that are inspiring him more than ever to experiment and hone his art skills. He is teaching classes on Problem Solving for the Artist and Still Life Painting at pARTiculars (check out our class listings). We are so happy to have him join the pARTiculars family.
