Evan Cantor: Guest Artist for Jan & Feb

Evan is an artist, musician and occasional writer living in Boulder, Colorado. As an artist, he has been a regular contributor to Wild Earth, Wildflower and High Country News.   His illustrations have adorned books published by Westcliffe, the Southern Rockies Ecosystem Project and, most recently, “The Landscape Of Home”, published by the Rocky Mountain Land Library.  Evan was the Southern Rockies Field Editor for Wildflower magazine and continues to contribute material to Blazing Star, the current periodical of the North American Native Plant Society.  He was named as a Redrock Artist-Activist by the Southern Utah Wilderness Association and received an award from the Colorado Wilderness Coalition for his contributions in art and music to wilderness in Colorado.  For almost thirty years, his artwork graced the product line of Juniper Ridge Western Wild Goods:  http://www.juniperridge.com/  Juniper Ridge has recently up-graded to a full-color marketing scheme, but, if you’re lucky, you might still see some of Evan’s art on their website.

Evan will have an artist reception on Jan 11 from 5-9pm, and will have another art party on February 8 from 5-9 where he will be giving a musical performance as he is also a musician. Don’t miss this.
