TECHNIQUES FOR SKETCHING IN COLOR! -Tuesdays 1:30-3:00pm• June 7,14,21,28

Learn to sketch outdoors and while traveling using quicker techniques and tips. Learn how to narrow down all the visual overload to get a simple and fast drawing on paper. We will learn about using different kinds of media to add color to our sketches while outdoors or traveling. We will try watercolor pencils, watercolors, colored pencils, water-soluble wax crayons and more!

This is for beginners or experienced students.

Bring to class: A pencil or pencil set if you have one, eraser and 9” X 12” spiral bound sketchbook that has thick paper (often called multi media paper or watercolor paper) and a small sketchbook with thick paper (multi Media or watercolor) paper in the 6” x 4” range. Bring small watercolor pencil set and /or small travel size watercolor set and brush. Instructor will have other coloring options for you to try. Also bring a stack of some of those vacation photos or calendar pictures to use for drawing. Electronic photos need to be on an I-Pad size device or laptop, not a phone.

Materials Fee: $15.00 payable to instructor for handouts
