Sketching Landscapes w/Pencil + Pen & Ink-Tues,1:30–3:00 pm, May 3,10,17,24

This class is for beginning and experienced students. We will start with drawing landscapes in pencil by learning to develop the basic shapes of the landscape first. Then we tackle how to transition into more details. We will also practice using texture and values to create depth in our drawings. The last two classes we will use simple pen and ink tools to do faster sketches of landscapes.

Great ideas for sketching on your next vacation or sketching before painting. You will be amazed at what you can learn and draw!

Bring to class: A 9”x12” spiral bound sketchbook (or computer paper) and a set of graphite pencils and eraser to class. The first class you will get suggestions for getting a couple black pens for sketching. You will be amazed at what you can learn and draw!
