Plein Air Watercolor Sketching in my garden- Friday Sept 25, 8-10:30am
September 25, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 am
Materials Fee: $10 payable to instructor – or bring your own materials (contact instructor for list)
Description:
Want to get out of the house? Let’s paint outside before it gets too hot! What is watercolor sketching? It is a quick way to draw with fine tip markers and then adding color with watercolor. No super fancy techniques needed. This is a method of art that can be used to document your travels, create quick studies before the light changes and starting larger or more detailed paintings, a way to add art to your private journals, or just for fun. The class starts early to escape the heat of the day. We will be practicing social distancing in my xeriscaped yard. The whole front yard is full of flowers and roses and bird feeders. The back yard has a small garden, greenhouse and large shade trees. Both front and backyard will be available and access to a guest bathroom is available if needed. I will provide awnings shade if needed. Contact Laurie for directions to her home.
Bring to class: Materials fee includes take-home sketchbook, marker, and water brush. Paints will be borrowed from my inventory or you can bring your own. Sun hat and sun screen and face mask. NOTE: If you are allergic to bees, this might not be the best event for you. (Contact instructor if you want to bring your own supplies.)
