PAINTING WATER IN ACRYLIC  Tuesdays, 10:30 – 1:00• April   4, 11, 18, 25

This class series is open to students who have taken my beginning acrylic class or have some acrylic painting experience. The class will focus on painting water in its many forms and students will learn various skills on how to paint water that looks believable with in a landscape painting.  We will start with a limited pallet and learn to mix colors to create rich, vibrant landscapes that feature rivers, lakes and oceans.  To begin, students will follow the instructor’s lead on a painting to get practice understanding concepts of painting water before moving to images of their choice. At the end of this four-week series, students will have created several serene landscapes featuring water!  This class is intended to help the new or intermediate painter continue to work on their technique in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Materials:  Plan to bring canvas and acrylic painting supplies to class along with an art journal if you are keeping one. A materials list will be provided to all enrolled students.
