Mosaic Class-July 8 and 22

Sundays from noon-4pm. Materials fee $40 paid to instructor on the first day of class.
Learn the ancient art of mosaic using contemporary materials. Your substrate or base, approximately 8×8, is provided and included in the material fee.
Students are encouraged to make cartoons similar to coloring book designs, i.e. flowers, birds – or think outside the box – abstraction and doodle designs ok. The class covers construction, working with glass, pottery, stones, beads, marbles, tiles, and more. The second day will cover grouting, and will likely not take the full 4 hours.
Students will be guided through the process by demonstration and hands on application. We will use glues and work with sharp objects. All materials included but students are welcome to bring other materials – handmade or found objects – think repurposed. Additional need: A hand held wheeled nipper is a necessary tool you must purchase before class. Contact Delcia on where to purchase.
