Make Fused Glass Pendants and Barrettes:Saturday, Aug. 22, 10:30-12:30pm

This Saturday class, taught by Joy Weinstein, is suitable for adults, and children ages 10 and up.
Materials fees payable to instructor: $20 covers 2 glass pieces. Additional pieces are $10 each for pendants and $12 for barrettes.
Description:
Use dichroic & colored glass to make your own pendants or barrettes. Begin with a base of colored glass, then add the design pieces of precut dichroic glass followed by a piece of clear glass to the top or bottom layer (bottom for barrettes)…3 layers in total. A handout and short discussion will help you understand how to create designs and how to get the best results with some helpful hints about the fusing process. You can experiment with your own designs, or try ones similar to the samples. There will be time to make 2 glass pieces. If you have time, you can make an extra one for women undergoing breast treatment (no extra charge).
WORKSHOP FOR RETURNING STUDENTS:
If you have taken the class before, you can use the time as a workshop, and the class fee will be $18. The materials fee of $20 will similarly be for 2 glass pieces. Extra pieces will be $10/$12 each.
