LAURIE’S WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP Wednesday 6:00am-8:30pm, Nov 30
November 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm$35.00
Prerequisite: Student must have taken at least one beginning watercolor class previously.
Description: This will be an ongoing watercolor class, but you are not required to attend every class. This class is suited for watercolor students who have already had a basic watercolor class, watercolorists who consider themselves rusty and want to brush up on their skills or experienced watercolor artists who still want to learn a thing or two about watercolor techniques.
Each class will begin with a short demo or discussion about a particular technique to learn. Students may follow along and practice the exercise and continue working on it or work on your own projects. This class is meant to be done in an open style because everyone learns at different rates and some people need more instruction than others. Contact the instructor if there are specific techniques that you would look forward to being taught. Some possible suggestions: Painting water, painting fur on animals or hair on humans, painting people and skin tones, painting trees, general landscapes, flowers, a class on how to fix mistakes (everyone can bring your oops paintings). The instructor also offers gentle critiques on previously completed paintings.
Bring to class: You may bring your own paints, paper, and brushes. If possible, bring three or four reference photos of subjects you would like to paint to your first class. Note: If you do not have supplies, you can borrow supplies from the instructor for the first class. I can also provide a suggested supply list upon request.
