Edges, Texture and Brushwork: Mar 5, 12, 19, 26
March 5, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
This class is for adults and teens and meets on Tuesdays.
Are you looking to create more subtlety in your paintings? Are you looking to improve in, or loosen up your brushwork? Then this class is for you! In this 4 week series you will learn about edges, how they differ from line, and how to see and use them, from hard to soft, and even lost. You will learn about creating texture, and will experiment with brushwork in all its variety. These skills are often what is missing in bringing a painters work to the “next level”, as they bring subtlety and sophistication, as well as allowing a painters individual style to shine through.
Instructed by Oil painter Jeanne Hougen, this class is suitable for painters in all mediums, although oil painters will benefit the most as paint application will play a bigger role in this series than in other series taught by Jeanne.
Artists of all skill levels will also benefit from this class, although beginners would receive more help in basic paint application if painting in oils or acrylics. Class sizes are kept small to allow for plenty of one on one instructor to student interaction.
