Edges and Brushwork: Feb 4,11,18,25, 6:30-8:30pm
February 4 @ 6:30 pm - February 25 @ 8:30 pm
This class is for adults and teens and meets on Tuesdays.
Are you looking to create more subtlety in your paintings? Are you looking to improve in, or loosen up your brushwork? Then this class is for you! In this 4 week series you will learn about brushwork and how it relates to edges. You will learn how edges differ from line, and how to see and use them, from hard to soft, and even lost. These skills are often what is missing in bringing a painter’s work to the “next level”, as they bring subtlety and sophistication, as well as allowing a painter’s individual style to shine through. Instructed by oil painter Jeanne Hougen, this class is suitable for painters in all mediums and all skill levels, although beginners would receive more help in basic paint application if painting in oils or acrylics. Class sizes are kept small to allow for plenty of one on one instructor to student interaction.
