Sign up with master teacher April Christenson for art class! She retired in 2013 with 27 years of teaching art in the public schools. During her years with the public schools her art program won a Kennedy Center National award for excellence in art education. She has continued teaching and now has over 37 years teaching art. April is experienced with students of all ages. Her philosophy is if you can sign your name you can learn to draw and she can show you how!
So, join this amazing teacher as she helps you translate the complicated landscapes into beautiful sketches of Colorado. Each week the class has a landscape focus and the techniques and tips learned are backed up with informative handouts and photographs. These you can keep so you have reference material to take home. This class has a fun, stress free, artistic learning environment. If you are new or a continuing student and want to increase your current knowledge of landscape drawing this class is for you.
Materials: Bring a 9”x12” spiral bound sketchbook, #2 pencil or set of graphite pencils, eraser, sharpener.
