Drawing Gardens Using Colored Pencils -Tues,1:30-3:00 pm• August 2,9,16,23

Take advantage of the blooming gardens in August and get some techniques and tips for drawing gardens. They are beautiful yet complicated to draw. We will be using interesting color blends to create more depth in your garden drawings. The first two classes will be about using pencil and colored pencil on white drawing paper. Then the last two classes we will create gardens using colored pencils and colored drawing paper. The teacher will provide photos for reference or you can use your own.

Bring to class: A set of 24 Prismacolor pencils (do not get the Scholar Prismacolor), a Strathmore “Colored Pencil” sketchbook 9”x12”; or a regular spiral bound sketchbook will also work.  Also have regular (graphite) pencil and a pencil sharpener. If you already have colored pencils bring those. Also needed are a couple sheets or a pad of 9”x12” colored drawing paper preferably in lighter shades. Adult & Teen : Experienced students
