ACRYLIC PAINTING FALL LANDSCAPES:Tues,10:30-1:00pm•OCT 3,10,17,24

Adults and Teens – minimum 4, max 10 participants

This class series will focus on painting fall landscapes taking inspiration from our area as well as mountain landscapes including aspen trees. We will touch on taking and choosing great reference photos and build our paintings using thumbnail sketches and value studies then work on creating colors that reflect the season. We will explore the use of light and shadow to develop strong compositions and paintings. This class series is open to those with some previous painting experience or who have taken Cathy’s Acrylic Essentials course.

Materials: Students will supply all materials including a sketch book and sketching tools, paint, brushes, pallet and painting surface of your choice. Some reference photos will be provided but students are encouraged to take and bring their own. Please bring a phone with a camera to aid in developing your painting and documenting your progress.
