Barb has been involved in metalsmithing since 2009, taking classes at the Denver School of Metal Arts from beginning, intermediate, advanced and several techniques classes. She has also taken classes through the Boulder Metalsmithing Association and in Denver a class offered on colored pencil on metal. Her bracelet, pendant and earring designs are most often inspired by nature, particularly trees, flowers, and birds but also shapes, textures, and trends.Techniques used include mixed metals, pierced designs, metal overlays, and rivets to name a few.She loves working in her studio in Lafayette Colorado and surrounds herself with artists’ prints and photos and says it’s her happy place.Her reward for her work in metal is the pleasure it brings to those who wear her art.
