April Featured Artist: APRIL CHRISTENSON

I have been working in colored pencil and pen and ink since the 1990’s and have enjoyed the portability of the mediums. I added watercolors and watercolor pencils to my art adventures a few years ago. I enjoy the outdoors and the western landscapes I create reflect that interest. Drawing with a pencil is still a favorite and I enjoy sketching outdoors with pencil or pen and ink. In 2013 I retired from Boulder Valley school district after 27 yrs. of teaching elementary art. My art program won a national Kennedy Center Award for Excellence in art education. I believe everyone who owns a pencil can learn to draw. Join one of my many drawing classes at pARTiculars gallery and available online.
