Description:

Explore the wide world of color and the effects you can create with just a change of color. Color is an important element which can make or break an artwork, helping to solve perspective problems and set a mood in your artwork.

Bring a set of 24 Prismacolor colored pencils, a set of at least 12 watercolors with a brush, and a 9”x12” sketchbook with heavy paper in it. Recommended: Bee Paper Co.- Super Deluxe-Heavy weight paper sketchbook. Try Guiry’s in Boulder or online art supply stores for supplies.

Bring in about 10 reference pictures of landscapes or plant/flower photos each week to work from – color photocopies from books, magazine pictures or your own photographs. We will be cutting and pasting these images to create our color notebook. We will also be experimenting with color using our art supplies on the sketchbook pages.
